Tutolo lashed out live on social media: "You unworthy politicians, you've betrayed Capitanata. Let's take to the streets for water."

" Name one strategic project in the last 50 years that has changed the face of this region. None, just cronyist bullshit. It's the fault of political representation." This was the statement from regional councilor Antonio Tutolo in a vibrant Facebook Live. At the heart of the issue is the multi-million-dollar project to bring water from the Liscione pipeline from Molise to the province of Foggia. Despite government announcements, Tutolo has raised doubts about the existence of the funds to realize the initiative.
"We've had a failed and unworthy political class. You're unworthy even of being parents. Without development, the mafia will always prevail," he added. "It's time to take to the streets. If this pipeline project isn't actually funded in September, we'll have to take to the streets peacefully."
He then recalled past failures: "The example of the Piano dei Limiti dam has been talked about for decades. Those who were supposed to defend the land never had the courage to intervene. We need people who truly represent this land. Thousands of businesses still don't see a drop of water. Water is to agriculture what electricity is to industry. Why is infrastructure for factories being built while farmers always have to pray to God for rain?"
"In Capitanata, agribusiness is the only viable business, the only thing we're suited to and that's in our blood. The Eternal Father has given us this, a wonderful and fertile land, but one that is becoming a living hell because of those who represent us. I have a visceral love for this land, and I won't stop."
